Aviation Ceramic Coatings

Automotive ceramic coatings represent a revolutionary advancement in paint protection. An exclusive, permanent ceramic coating which imparts a color enhancing gloss while protecting exterior surfaces up to the Lifetime of your car.

Manny Ceramic creates a brilliant new clear coat over your paintwork. Appearing as if your car was dipped in glass, this new surface is ultra hydrophobic, slicker, and glossier then the original clear coat.

Benefits

Serving private aircraft owners, charter operators, corporate flight departments, FBOs, and aviation facilities throughout Florida.

Our Process

Applying an aviation ceramic coating requires a meticulous multi-day process: washing, paint decontamination, paint correction (polishing), and molecular bonding. This creates a durable, hydrophobic shield that protects against extreme UV exposure, hydrocarbons (engine exhaust), and speeds up post-flight cleaning.

1. Prep and Decontamination:   Begin by thoroughly washing and degreasing the aircraft to remove dirt, oils, bugs, and exhaust soot. Use clay bars or chemical iron removers to pull embedded contaminants out of the pores of the paint. A perfectly clean, decontaminated surface is mandatory for the ceramic coating to bond correctly.

2. Paint Correction (Polishing): Even factory-fresh aircraft require this step. Use a dual-action polisher with appropriate compounds to remove micro-scratches, oxidation, and swirls. This step restores maximum gloss and creates a smooth foundation required for the liquid polymer to adhere evenly.

3. IPA Wipe-Down (Surface Prep): After polishing, wipe down the entire aircraft with a 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) spray or a specialized ceramic prep spray. This removes any lingering polishing oils, dust, and residue to ensure a bare, pristine surface.

4. Application: Work panel by panel to avoid premature drying. Prime an applicator pad with the liquid ceramic coating and apply it using small, overlapping circular and cross-hatch (X) motions. The coating will begin to “flash” or haze on the surface.

5. Leveling and Buffing: Wait 1 to 5 minutes (depending on ambient temperature and humidity) until small “sweat beads” appear on the haze. Immediately buff the area with a clean, high-quality microfiber towel to level out the coating and remove high spots. Use a second clean towel for a final, streak-free polish.

6. Curing and Maintenance: The coating typically requires 24 to 48 hours to cure completely before it can be exposed to moisture or extreme flight conditions. To maintain the coating for its typical 2 to 4 year lifespan, wash the aircraft using pH-neutral soaps and avoid harsh chemicals.
